Francium

Located in Group 1 and Period 7 of the periodic table is the radioactive metal with a half life of only 22 minutes, and this is its max! This element is called Francium.

First discovered and isolated by Marguerite Perey in Paris in the year of 1939. Francium was discovered when she was researching the radioactive decay of Actinium ( Part of Actinides ). Perey found 99 of all actinium atoms decay into thorium, while only 1 percent of actinium atoms decay into a new element, called Francium.

Actually, Dmitry I.Mendeleyev, another Russian Chemist, have already predicted the existence of Francium in his own periodic table, it just that he doesn't know.

Besides, Francium is also the second rarest natural element ( Rarest is Astatine ). You can search for Francium in any time and find it hard to find as there are less than 30 grams of Francium exist on Earth. Francium is also the heaviest element known in the Alkali Metals and second least - electronegative element ( First least electronegative is Caesium )
